Swivel Bracket  (Positive Fix) Using our patented swivel bracket we can fix to both the vertical face of a slab and the horizontal surface. We can also much like our steel and timber systems be both cantilevered horizontally up to 2000mm  and be mounted inverted. We can also be mounted on formwork beams

Clamping Using a pair of swivel brackets in tandem they can also be used as a clamp in both the vertical and horizontal axis. The clamp can be used on both the formwork as well as the slab itself.

Ultim8 has been borne out of countless conversations carried out on site with the real experts. Namely those people working with edge protection on live site in live situations. This has allowed the system to be made user friendly, yet versatile and beyond robust. It is fair to call it a 21st Century system for the modern methods of construction.

Using modern composite materials has allowed the system to be made modular, lighter yet stronger and with a clear idea of full life cycle of the system.

Modular – each edge protection barrier is made up of individual panels. This allows for great flexibility in terms of size of barrier. It also means that in the event of a barrier being damaged it is likely to mean that a panel would be replaced rather than a whole barrier.

Lighter – using composite materials has allowed for a greater weight reduction with no compromise on the inherent strength. This allows for smaller vehicles or larger meterage of equipment to be delivered reducing the carbon footprint of said deliveries. It also allows deliveries to be made where there is poor access. It also means we are able to produce very large individual barriers making for fewer support components needed on site at any one time.

Life cycle – Using composite material means typically material like concrete cannot bond to the panel. No powder coating or galvanizing required on the barriers and no rust! UV inhibition included so each panel will retain their colour for years to come coupled with good chemical resistance.

Versatility – System also incorporates our unique swivel bracket that can be used as both a contact plate and a clamp. It can be used on steel including box section and cold rolled . Concrete both in-situ and pre-cast as well as on formwork beams. Timber including engineered timber such as CLT,LVL and Glulam as well as cassettes including SIPS and even traditional open timber frame. If that wasn’t enough it can also be used on groundworks such as piling sheets and trenchboxes and capping beams.

The system uses our unique locking pin This pin can be checked visually in terms of locking that allows the whole system to be positively fixed at any one time and without a cable tie in sight!! So much so that the whole system can be inverted if that would suit the build methodology better. Able to offer single, double and full height edge protection and vertical adjustment in 25mm increments. Speaking of which, vertical adjustment can be made with the barriers still attached to the support posts at any one time, putting no one at risk during this operation.

Zero debris – the unique shape of each panel incorporates a ‘step’ at the bottom. Whilst the initial laid floor is rarely level the step allows the panel to pick up on the typically straight edge of the building frame. No need for retro fitted not to mention expensive plastic skirts or debris netting and in many cases no need for expensive and unwieldy fans that take up precious ‘hook time’.
